Jim Boyle

Partner

For more than three decades, Jim Boyle has served as a trusted advisor to CEOs and senior executive teams, helping organizations navigate growth, leadership transitions, reputation challenges, public affairs, and high-stakes communications.

Drawing on experience as both a Fortune 500 communications executive and agency advisor, Jim’s counsel is grounded in a rare combination of executive communications, brand strategy, public policy, media relations, and marketing experience.

Jim has held senior leadership roles with Discovery Communications (now Warner Bros. Discovery), CNBC, Sallie Mae, and BBB National Programs, and has advised organizations ranging from high-growth companies and national trade associations to higher education institutions, foundations, and nonprofits. His clients have included the Army National Guard, where he managed its $90 million annual recruitment advertising program, and the RV Industry Association, where he helped guide two successful CEO transitions during unprecedented growth of the $159 billion industry.

As Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications for Discovery Communications, Jim advised the executive team during one of the company’s most significant periods of expansion, helping build the Discovery Channel brand while supporting growth from less than $100 million to more than $1.2 billion in enterprise value. He directed communications for Discovery Channel’s launch in more than 70 countries and led communications strategies for complex international partnerships, including the BBC in the United Kingdom.

Earlier in his career, Jim was a member of the executive team that launched CNBC, following leadership positions at NBC News, the National Cable Television Association, and on Capitol Hill, where he served as a congressional press secretary.

Since co-founding Boyle Public Affairs in 2011, Jim has continued to serve as a strategic counselor to CEOs and executive teams, providing the experienced perspective, sound judgment, and steady counsel leaders need when communications matter most.
